Tornado belongs to that cast of technically demanding musical works, which stand out for its rhythmic, melodic and harmonic intensity. This significant example of programmatic music evokes the creation process of a Tornado, a powerful air funnel that turns up like a whirlpool that devastates everything in its path. With this work, Juan Erena transports both the listener and the performer to that hard, wild and especially hostile landscape generated by the forces of nature. Likewise, human emotions are also related to this music. Again, nature and the human psyche are used here as a source of inspiration.
